Rock climbers flock from far and wide for the park’s world-class climbing. Hiking trails through spectacular scenery are in vast supply. But they are far from the only attraction. Many of the Joshua Trees in the park are older than the United States itself, with some dating back as far as 1,000 years.
Better known as the Joshua Tree, these unique looking desert plants gave the park its name. Alongside a countless collection of the native Yucca brevifolia. Light-colored sand stretches almost endlessly into the distance, periodically interrupted by striking boulders and curious rock formations.
